John Duke

John grew up in Buffalo, NY and played youth hockey for the Amherst Knight and Buffalo Regal organizations.  He went on to play for the Niagara Scenic Jr. A Hockey Club (now the Buffalo Jr. Sabres) and Hamilton College. 

John was an assistant coach for the Niagara Scenic during the 1995-1996 season.  He currently involved with the Rocky River Youth Hockey program where he has coached at both the Mite and Squirt level.

His focus is to develop his player’s basic skills of skating, passing, shooting, and stick handling in a competitive and, more importantly, fun environment.  John strives to develop in his players a love of the game first and foremost, and at the same time give them the tools to grow as hockey players.  He completely believes in the Top Shelf philosophy of a comprehensive hockey experience that is educational and most importantly….FUN!
